New partnership puts Yu-Gi-Oh! on cereal, cereal bars, yogurt, fruit snacks, NASCAR's #43 car
General Mills and 4Kids have inked a new promotional deal bringing Yu-Gi-Oh! food products to supermarket shelves nationwide.
A new "limited edition" honey-sweetened corn cereal is among the new items, with triangular pieces shaped like Yugi's Millennium Medallion. The cereal box is designed with metal and holographs, and includes trivia questions on the side of the box.
In addition to the new cereal, specially marked boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs, Trix, Honey Nut Cheerios, Cookie Crisp, Reese's Puffs, and others will have a mail-in offer for an exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! DVD and one of eight different collectible action medallions.
Go-Gurt portable yogurt will feature two unique Yu-Gi-Oh! flavors: Berry Blue Magic and Monster Melon. Limited edition Fruit Gushers snacks round out the edible side of the new promotion program.
General Mills will also sponsor Petty Enterprises' NASCAR #43 Dodge. The car sports a special Yu-Gi-Oh! themed paint scheme.
