Sakura-Con announced over its mailing list that Atsushi "Jun" Okuda will be their final Japanese Guest of Honor for next months convention. Sakura-Con will be Mr. Okuda's first US convention appearance. Megatokyo artist and writer Fred "Piro Gallagher will also be appearing.
Mr. Okuda began his career as a Key Framer in Japan for notable shows such as Thunderbirds 2086, Mospeada (Robotech Masters); and Thundercats. Mr. Okuda was the Animation Director for Riding Bean, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki OVA1 Episode 1, the Ah! My Goddess movie and Armitage: Dual-Matrix. Mr. Okuda has also worked as Character Designer for Magical Girl Pretty Sammy, Battle Athletes TV, Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure, El Hazard: The Alternative World and the current Tenchi Muyo GXP. Sakura-Con will be Mr. Okuda's first US convention appearance. Mr. Okuda is attending Sakura-Con courtesy of Funimation.

which will appear in Amerimanga(published by I.C. Entertainment), beginning with issue 3.
