Matsumoto talks about the new Yamamoto, a Gunfrontier Anime and possible projects with foreign studios.
According to Nikkan Sports, Leiji Matsumoto announced at his national cultural award celebration party on the 25th that the new series of Space Battleship Yamato would appear this fall. He said the story will be set in the world of 1,000 years after the Final Yamato.

His horse drama manga, Gun Frontier is also set to be turned into an Anime for the first time. In addition, Matsumoto said that a U.S. firm and a French firm were interested in making animated films with him.
