Fox to Cancel Saturday Morning Cartoon Block?

Fox may cancel its Saturday morning cartoon block leaving Anime titles Medadots, Digimon and Mon Colle Knights without a home.
It seems that Fox entertainment may follow up the cancellation of its weekday afternoon cartoon block with the cancellation Fox Kids Saturday line-up.
According to a recent Variety article Fox is looking at a number of different plans that would spell the end of its four hour Cartoon line-up. Amongst the plans are the possibility that Fox may lease the block to another "packager" such as Nelvana, 4kids or DIC. Another alternative mentioned would be for fox to revamp the time slot with an older 18-34) demographic in mind.
Anime TV shows Medadots, Digimon and Mon Colle Knights currently air during the cartoon block which was the most popular Saturday morning contender for most of the 90s. Despite the popularity of the series, and the large number of viewers, advertising revenues had dried up as a result of the current economic conditions.
Fox is expected to announce a decision within two weeks.
