According to Monday's London Financial Times Rupert Murdoch is concidering selling Fox Family Worldwide, which operates the Fox Family Channel. Murdoch aquired a majority (99%) share in Fox last month when Haim Saban sold Murdoch his 49.5%.
According to the paper Murdoch hopes to sell Fox in order to gain the capital needed to buy DirecTV and fuse it with his Sky Global satellite company. Fox Family Worldwide would fetch about US$3 billion if sold, Disney and Viacom are said to be the two most likely buyers.
