Grave Of The Fireflies DVD

Isao Takahata, director of Grave of the Fireflies appeared at a Tokyo press conference on November 20. He announced that Grave of the Fireflies, which is due ot be released on DVD in Japan December 16, has been digitally enhanced via computer for the release.

Grave of the Fireflies is the first Ghibli movie that Takahata directed, in 1984, prior to that he was the producer on Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Laputa: Castle in the Sky.
