Pony Canyon Will Produce PR Anime Short for Machida, Tokyo

Pony Canyon is teaming up with voice actor Jun Fukuyama and hip hop artist KEN THE 390 to create a promotional anime for Machida, Tokyo. The anime is titled "Start" and will premiere on November 2 followed by a talk event with Fukuyama and KEN. Fukuyama and KEN THE 360 will perform together on the anime's ending theme song.
The Machida area has become a popular suburban area, especially for parents. The Odakyū rail line has made traveling in the area more convenient and Machida boasts a supportive childcare system. Of Tokyo's 23 wards, Machida had the largest number of new residents between the ages of 0 to 14. The area also has many private universities for students.
Pony Canyon has helped produce multiple tourism anime shorts. Last year, the company produced shorts for Gunma Prefecture's Kiryū city, Tochigi prefecture's Ashikaga city, the city of Ōgaki in Gifu, and Sōka in Saitama prefecture.
