Tokyo Rose Garden Plans The Rose of Versailles Event

The Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho business complex is celebrating "Kioi Rose Week" with the classic manga The Rose of Versailles this month.
The Akasaka Prince Classic House banquet hall will be decorated with 90 different varieties of rose blooms intermingled with art and objects from The Rose of Versailles. Visitors can see famous scenes from the manga and try on costume pieces like Marie Antoinette's extravagant hats.
The event will host The Rose of Versailles creator Riyoko Ikeda and Takarazuka Revue and Oscar actress Yuri Haruna on May 18 and May 25.
This year is the third time Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho has collaborated with The Rose of Versailles. The series also inspired its own rose garden in FANCL Ginza Square building.
The Rose of Versailles manga was slated for publication in English from Udon Entertainment in omnibus volumes in 2016 but has not yet been released.
