MatsuMaker Avatars are Back — This Time Officially

In 2016, a website offering custom Mr. Osomatsu-style avatars appeared and quickly took social media by storm. Just as quickly as it took off, the site disappeared, likely because it wasn't officially licensed. Now with a new Osomatsu film on the horizon, MatsuMaker is back and this time it's 100% approved.
The website lets fans design their own Mr. Osomatsu character and release it to the world. Users can choose their own hair, nose eyes, mouth, and clothing with hundreds of millions of different possible permutations.
This may not be the exact same app that became popular in 2016 but it is certainly designed very similarly.
The Eiga no Osomatsu-san anime film centers on the sextuplets at a high school class reunion. There, they see all their former classmates who have become "proper" adults with company jobs. The sextuplets sulk about this and go home and drink until they fall asleep. But when they wake up, a certain scene awaits them.
The anime film will open in Japan on March 15.
