2 Fire Force Cast Members Will Try Firefighting For a Day

Two cast members for the television anime of Atsushi Ohkubo's Fire Force manga are really getting into their respective roles. This weekend, Gakuto Kajiwara and Kazuya Nakai will become honorary firefighters at the Kanda Fire Department in Tokyo. The building will be open to the general public and Kajiwara and Nakai will participate in exercises as a firefighter and brigade captain on March 2.
Kajiwara will star in the Fire Force anime as protagonist Shinra Kusakabe and Nakai, fittingly, will play his captain Akitaru Ōbi. JoJo anime series alumni studio david production will animate the series. The premiere date is still unknown.
Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English, and it describes the story:
Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment's notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous "devil's footprints" (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?
Funimation will stream the anime series.
Earlier this year, Karakuri Circus voice actress Chihiro Ueda tried her hand at her character's profession by swinging on the trapeze.
