Zombie Land Saga is Anime General Election 2018's Top Show

Animage, Animedia, and Newtype magazine along with the Akiba Research Institute and Anime! Anime! news sites revealed the results the Anime General Election 2018 Grand Prize and Anime Buzzword Awards during a niconico stream on January 13. The magazines' editors previously revealed their picks for the best of the fall 2018 anime season as a lead up to the big announcements. The winners of the Anime General Election 2018, however, were selected by internet users.

Internet users picked their favorite anime that aired between January and December of 2018. The fall series Zombie Land Saga won by a firm lead to take the grand prize. Franchouchou won the hearts of 13.3% of viewers and was also the top choice of men (14.2%). In second place is SSSS.GRIDMAN; barely taking the runner up spot from A Place Further Than the Universe, SSSS.Gridman pulled ahead by only .02%.
