Maybe's Tales of Wedding Rings (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) manga was recently chosen to jump into the virtual world, creating a fully immersive, virtual reality reading experience. The digital, interactive comic debuted at AnimeJapan this year and then headed to the Oculus Rift VR store.
The virtual reality manga launched for the HTC Vive on September 25. A new trailer is streaming on Square Enix's official YouTube channel and includes interviews with Tales of Wedding Rings VR project lead Kaei Sou and voice actors Akari Kitō (Hime) and Takumi Satoh (Satou).
The manga by Dusk Maiden of Amnesia creator Maybe follows Satou into another world. He intended to confess to his crush Hime, only to discover she's from a fantasy world and already betrothed to someone else. When Satou ends up in her world, he crashes the wedding and finds himself the groom instead.
The manga's seventh volume was released in Japan on September 25. Yen Press will release the fourth volume in English on November 13.
