Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun Fans Elect 'Mikorin' as Idol Group's Center

The Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun manga recently reached its 100 chapter milestone and publisher Square Enix released the manga's 10th compiled volume in July. The publisher marked the achievement by forming an idol group out of the manga's popular characters. Fans were able to vote on which character would serve as the group's center and enter to win exclusive merchandise.
All the votes are now tallied and manga creator Izumi Tsubaki revealed Mikoto "Mikorin" Mikoshiba barely pulled ahead to take the top spot and get the distinguished honor of turning into limited edition character hangers.
The Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun idol unit includes Nozaki, Hori, Kashima, Waka, Mikorin, and Mayu. Starting on October 3, fans can enjoy a cafe dedicated to the newly formed idol group at Ikebukuro's Anime Paradise Cafe. The themed menu includes meals, desserts, and drinks.
The cafe will give away coasters and placemats for items purchased off the menu while also selling acrylic standees, reproduced autographs, can badges, and clear files.
