Comedian Channels Kirito in Monster Strike's Sword Art Online: Alicization Collaboration

XFlag's Monster Strike smartphone game is collaborating with the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime from July 13 to August 2. As a stand-in for Sword Art Online protagonist Kirito, NON STYLE comedy duo member Yūsuke Inoue will appear in collaboration commercials as "Black Monster Swordsman Kirito Inoue."
The initial "Party Formation Support Campaign" web commercial will debut on July 13, followed by two more commercials on July 17. The campaign is letting fans chose the outcome of the commercials' stories. Voting via Twitter for the first commercial opened on July 9, and it will close on July 13. Fans can tweet one of three phrases for Kirito Inoue to say to entice his friends to Monster Strike: "My life is yours, Asuna," "I'll say it, but I'm solo," or "Because you're like a little sister...." The phrases are quotes from the anime.
People who participate by tweeting one of the campaign hashtags will have a chance to win prizes. The collaboration is offering 100 life-size Kirito and Asuna towels and five sets of four Seishun 18 train passes with a collaboration bromide. Winners will receive a direct message on Twitter.
Sword Art Online: Alicization characters are also appearing in the Monster Strike game with a special mission and story. Additionally, the promotion includes in-game items and chances to win additional real-world prizes by completing in-game missions.
Monster Strike collaborated with with Kazuo Umezu's The Drifting Classroom manga in June.
