Voice Actor Tomokazu Seki Heads to Comiket 94 to Sell Dōjin
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Prolific voice actor Tomokazu Seki will head to this summer's Comiket to help sell a new book. Seki will be at Comiket 94 on August 12 to sell copies of Seiyū no Ura Jijō (The Hidden Circumstances of Voice Actors), marking the first time Seki has participated in a dōjin group.
Seki made the announcement himself on Twitter. He wrote that he's doing his best to work with artist conix and joked that the book's contents are "piggybacking" off of voice actress Masumi Asano.
Asano was the author of the dōjin Seiyu's Life! with her husband and artist Kenjirō Hata. The four-panel doujin also launched and subsequent issues were distributed at Comiket before an anime adaptation premiered in 2015. The story introduces the world of voice acting as seen through the eyes of fictional rookie voice actresses Futaba Ichinose, Ichigo Moesaki, and Rin Kohana.
Seki and Conix's dōjin will focus on the perspective of male voice actors. The booth will have additional goods for sale as well. Fans looking to pick up a copy can find the booth in Tokyo Big Sight's West Building at booth A43.
Seki might be best known as the voice of Sōsuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic!, Whisper from Yōkai Watch, and Gilgamesh from the Fate franchise.
