Pop Team Epic Manga Creator's Twitter Account is Back

Pop Team Epic manga creator Bkub Okawa is back to rule social media once again after a temporary Twitter suspension. Okawa apologized for the 'fuss' his suspension caused, saying that the suspension was due to copyright concerns over an image he shared. The image included the Gun Cannon weapon seen in the Gundam franchise.
Okawa wrote that he was told the image infringed on the copyright for 'Dom.' MS-09B Dom is a mobile suit from the original Gundam series. The image, seen below, was deleted from Okawa's Twitter account.
Fans had speculated that the suspension was a stunt by 'haters' or related to Okawa posting comments such as wanting to kill whomever thought of convenience store LAWSON's spork-like utensils.
Okawa's surreal four-panel manga Pop Team Epic centers around two 14-year-old girls, the short Popuko and the tall Pipimi. Okawa launched the manga on the Manga Life Win website in 2014, and ended it in 2015. Takeshobo released the manga's first compiled book volume in print in 2015. Ōkawa launched the "second season" in February 2016, and ended it on April 30. Takeshobo released the second volume in June 2017. The manga started a "third season" last October.
The manga's television anime adaptation premiered on January 6. HIDIVE, Funimation, Crunchyroll, AsianCrush, and Amazon Prime Video all streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
A new net anime in collaboration with Japan Racing Association has been green-lit.
