Monster Hunter World Player Finds Game's Hidden Depths
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
An apparent glitch in the recently released Monster Hunter World multi-platform game sent one player into its very own "Upside Down." Twitter user Naturalxcreeps posted a video of their game progress on February 2 where a monster battle turns into a confusing trip through the world's layers.

In the video, Naturalxcreeps is in the midst of hacking and slashing a monster when it attempts to retreat into a cavern wall. Naturalxcreeps follows it only to immediately begin falling. They fall through the earth, through the sky, through another ground layer and into an underground cave full of mushrooms. The video ends there, but Naturalxcreeps elaborates in later tweets that they stumbled upon a secret border between zones and that the cavern area is actually a normal map, they just shouldn't have ended up there.
Fans find overlooked game bugs all the time, and while some allow access to previously hidden or unfinished content, others show off (un?)intended fanservice.
