posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Kadokawa's MF Bunko J light novel imprint announced the results of its "MF Bunko J Heroine Contest 2017 in Melon Books" contest. Get your waifu pillows ready, because the results are sure to be divisive.
A total of 24 heroines were in the running for the best light novel heroine. Fans weighed in and, ultimately, Re:Zero's Emilia took first place with 23.8% of the vote. Coming in second place is Suzune Horikita from (Classroom of the Elite) with 13.8%, followed by Shiro (No Game, No Life) with 9.2%, Yuika Koga (Kawaikereba Hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasuka?) with 7.0%, and Aria H. Kanzaki (Aria the Scarlet Ammo) with 6.6%.
Suzune Horikita made quite a jump to take the second place spot. She was ranked in fifth place during the interim results. Emilia will be the focus of a new B-2 size wall scroll as promised for taking first place. Fans of the series' maids Rem and Ram as well as the other king candidates will be disappointed to know they were never in the running from the start.
Voting for the light novel heroine popularity contest began on September 10 and closed on October 31.
