Mario Puts on His Dancing Shoes in New Super Mario Odyssey Video

Nintendo began streaming a new music video for its Super Mario Odyssey game on Tuesday. Notably, the video includes live-action footage of singers and dancers performing the game's show tune-inspired theme song "Jump Up, Super Star!" Mario jumps in and out of the choreography. The song's lyrics feature many references to the Super Mario games, and the character Pauline performs the song in-game.

In the game, Mario leaves the Mushroom Kingdom to "go on a new sandbox-style journey" across different worlds with his eyed hat "Cappy." There is also a two-player mode, where players can assume the role of Mario and Cappy, and an Assist Mode, where arrows will help guide players to reach their destinations.

The game will be available worldwide on October 27.
