Chinese Rice Girl Game Gets Japanese Release

Chinese developers Storia and SimonCreative's Dong-Jin Rice-hime game is getting a Japanese release starring voice actress Ai Kayano. SimonCreative's official Japanese Twitter account began streaming a promotional video for the game last Friday.

Cheng-Heng provided the game's script, and 3R2 composed the music. Setsunann is performing the Japanese version of the theme song, and Gyūniku wrote the lyrics.
The rice-growing simulation will launch in Japanese for PC via Steam on November 22. SimonCreative will also offer discs at the Kaohsiung FFK 10 event on November 25-26.
SimonCreative released the original Chinese version of the game in June 2016. The game launched on Steam in Chinese on April 28. Although the Steam page includes a description in English, the game currently has no English release.
Lovers of rice may also want to check out the card-based smartphone game Yui no Shinobi, which features anthropomorphized ninja rice ball characters. The second season of the Love Rice (Love Kome -We Love Rice-) original television anime series, which reimagines rice as schoolboys, also premiered on Friday.
