Prince of Tennis Valentine Program Will Count Down from 50

The mountain of likely expired chocolates sent to Shueisha offices this year to elect readers' fan-favorite Prince of Tennis are all counted and the results will be announced on August 14 via livestream on Nico Nico Douga. The outpouring of gifts was huge; it took eight employees to count the sweets with numbers exceeding 180,000. The "Happy Summer Valentine" program will reveal which characters received the largest shares.
Manga creator Takeshi Konomi and character Ryoma Echizen will host the program. The top 50 characters will be drawn for button badges that will be given away to customers who purchase Konomi's fourth single "Happy Summer Valentine Day." The single was first released on June 14.
