Sanrio Character Collaboration Vote Includes Transformers, Animal Crossing

While the whole Sanrio crew is hoping to win this year's character popularity poll by collaborating with musicians and magical girls, the poll also has a secondary campaign to decide character merchandise tie-ins. Last year saw the lethargic Gudetama meet Godzilla monsters.

The collaboration poll pairs Sanrio mascots with company and government mascots. The winner will hold an event at the Sanrio Puroland theme park. Some examples this year include Gudetama and Transformers, Sanrio and Animal Crossing, Hello Kitty and Miyazaki beef, and Hello Kitty and Itoham.

Voting is open until June 11 and participants can cast one vote per day.
