Tezuka's Phoenix Transformed Into Kemono Friends Character
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The anime girls of Kemono Friends have captured the attention of audiences in Japan, starring in virtual reality and other fan works. The series is definitely at its peak, if for no other reason than that series is crossing over with one of anime and manga's greatest influencers, Osamu Tezuka.
The Hankyu Umeda Gallery on the 9th floor of the Hankyu department store in Osaka is hosting the "Tezuka Osamu no Binan Bijo-ten ~Yū Tsuya~" (Osamu Tezuka's Beautiful Girls Exhibition ~Elegance~) art show starting on March 29. Many popular artists are participating in the show, including Kemono Friends designer and Sgt. Frog creator Mine Yoshizaki. Yoshizaki is adapting Tezuka's iconic Phoenix into an animal girl in the style of Kemono Friends.
Other participating artists include Noizi Ito, Mutsumi Inomata, Risa Ebata, Chinatsu Kurahana, Hidetaka Tenjin, Kurone Hijikata, Haruhiko Mikimoto, Masume Yoshimoto, and elements,H.
The exhibition will run until April 10.
