Character goods maker San-Ei Bōeki revealed new merchandise on Wednesday to mark the 25th anniversary of a certain pink, puffy character. Hal Labratory and Nintendo released Hoshi no Kirby (Kirby's Dream Land) for Game Boy in 1992 and Hoshi no Kirby Super Deluxe (Kirby Super Star) for Super Famicom (SNES) in 1996. To celebrate the original game's anniversary, San-Ei Bōeki is offering Kirby plushes and pouches inspired by the games.

The plushes feature Kirby designs from the 1992 and 1996 games. Each Kirby comes with his own pouch. The games' package designs are inspiring the images on the pouches.
The Hoshi no Kirby version uses bonnel fabric and costs 3,600 yen (about US$32), and the Hoshi no Kirby Super Deluxe version uses belvoir fabric and costs 3,200 yen (US$28). Both 35.5-centimeter (about 14-inch) plushes are slated to ship on April 27.
Ichiban Kuji debuted its new Kirby prize lottery line in January. The star-riding puffball is also celebrating his anniversary with a Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra concert on April 16.
San-Ei Bōeki's other plush releases include Ditto, Tanooki Mario, and Kitsune Luigi.
