DMM's Tōken Ranbu mobile game has been nothing short of a sensation among its female fanbase, inspiring two anime adaptations. The game is just one in a long line of "object turned into attractive guy/girl" and even Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D artist Yoshitaka Amano is getting in on the action.
Amano is participating in Mori Art Museum's "The Universe and Art: Princess Kaguya, Leonardo da Vinci, Team Lab" exhibit. On display is a variety of works from the 14th century to modern times, all focusing on space, aliens, or what the Japanese imagined to be spacecraft during the Edo period.
One item is a meteorite sword, one of five blades, crafted by Okayoshi Kunimune that was forged from an iron meteorite in 1898. The sword is on display at the museum with accompanying artwork by Amano imagining the rare blade as an attractive man.
The exhibit will run until January 9.
