Space Patrol Luluco Crosses Over with Animator Expo's SEX and VIOLENCE with MACHSPEED
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Studio Trigger's short form sci-fi comedy Space Patrol Luluco has recently crossed over with the studio's other projects as the protagonists travel through space in search of a stolen city. Luluco, Midori, and Nova have encountered obvious references to Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia. In the latest episode premiering today, director Hiroyuki Imaishi takes the crew to his yellow world from the Animator Expo series of shorts, "SEX and VIOLENCE with MACHSPEED."
The episode features the song "Music for the MASSIVE (SEX Ver)," by KO3 from the original short and the track will be bundled on a CD with the Space Patrol Luluco Blu-ray release on September 14.
The "SEX and VIOLENCE with MACHSPEED" short will also be available for streaming again until June 30 to commemorate the collaboration.
The Space Patrol Luluco Blu-ray release will include all 13 episodes and audio commentary. The Limited Edition comes with jacket illustrations by character designer Mago, an original soundtrack CD, and an audio drama. The Limited Edition costs 9,504 yen (US$86.50) and the regular edition costs 8,424 yen (US$77).
Crunchyroll is currently streaming Space Patrol Luluco with English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, and Arabic subtitles.
