Shinjuku Station Hosts Interactive Dragon Quest Builders Wall
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Square Enix's Dragon Quest Builders is launching for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita on January 28. The game follows the franchise's original hero as he attempts to rebuild the land, quite literally. The game's marketing department took this idea and ran with it for a mural-size poster in Shinjuku Station.
An 80 meter wall near the promenade near the Marunouchi Line is covered in 180,000 Lego-like blocks. The blocks create monsters from the game like Slimes and the Dragonlord. Passer-byes can remove the blocks which will eventually reveal a giant campaign poster.
The game is set in Alfegard, the setting of the original Dragon Quest game. It follows an alternate ending of the game where the hero accepts the Dragon Lord's offer to rule half the world. The player takes control of a new hero to rebuild the land.
Sony will release a special edition PlayStation 4 console with a Dragon Quest Builders: Alfegard o Fukatsu Se Yo design on the bay cover. The release will coincide with the game's January 28 release date.
