If you've ever dreamed of having your very own magical girlfriend, Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions might help you make that dream come true. Lum, the Urusei Yatsura character who pioneered the "magical girlfriend" trope, is being sculpted in life size out of fiber-reinforced plastic and under the supervision of Rumiko Takahashi, the original manga artist, herself. Each statue comes with a serial number and Takahashi's signature at the base. Only 50 statues will be available.

The catch? The price tag is 1 million yen (about $8,207). For those unable to afford this, there's also a lottery campaign, albeit for only one winner. To enter, follow the statue's official Twitter page and retweet a post; alternatively, you can like a post on the statue's Facebook page. The campaign will last from December 18 to January 13.
PALSHOP, Shogakukan's commercial site, will start taking orders for the statue in mid-January. A smaller figure of Lum went on sale in August. Lum was also played by Sumire Matsubara in an energy drink commercial.
