Kirimi-chan., Sanrio's salmon fillet mascot-turned-magical girl, has a merchandise promotion at the Ikebukuro, Tokyo branch of the Animate store chain. A clear file (350 yen/$2.88 plus tax) and six kinds of badges (300 yen/$2.47 each, plus tax) will be on sale featuring Kirimi-chan. and her anthropomorphized fish friends.
Customers will receive a free Vanguard card with their purchase. If they spend 1,000 yen ($8.25) or more, they will also receive a 16-minute "situation CD" of dialogue voiced by Kirimi-chan (Tsubasa Yonaga). Sanrio has posted a 45-second preview on YouTube.

The CD was recorded using a "dummy head" microphone, which allows for more realistic, intimate-sounding voices. The promotion begins on November 7 and lasts as long as supplies do.
