L.A. Gundam the Origin Screening Gets Exclusive GunPla

GunPla and figure distributor Bluefin and Sunrise Inc. are going to offer a special item to viewers who come out for the Gundam: The Origin screening at the Downtown Independent theater in Los Angeles on October 31. A limited number of special HG 1/144 Guntank Early Type Clear Version Gunpla will be available. This specific Gunpla is only being given away at theatrical screenings for the anime.
The toy's body is molded in special translucent plastic with its dampers on its huge cannons and its caterpillar tracks recreated in detail.
Each GunPla will cost US$23 and are limited to one per person.
The L.A.-based Anime Jungle store, a shopping spot for actor Nicolas Cage, will host a GunPla contest alongside the screening. The contest winners' models will be on display at the theater lobby prior to the start of the screening.
The Downtown Independent theater will screen both Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin I - Blue-Eyed Casval and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin II - Artesia's Sorrow with an English dub on October 31. Tickets are on sale now.
