Tow Ubukata to Publish Account of Jail Stint
posted on by Eric Stimson
Writer Tow Ubukata (Psycho-Pass 2, Ghost in the Shell Arise, Heroic Age) announced on his blog on October 13 that he is planning on publishing an account of his recent experience in jail. It is tentatively called Ubukata Tow no Ryūchijo Nikki ("Tow Ubukata's Jail Diary") and planned for a release this winter. A magazine has not yet been announced.
Ubukata also announced that he will be giving a lecture at Kyoto's Ritsumeikan University on November 3. Autographed books will be available by raffle.
Ubukata was arrested on August 24 for allegedly hitting his wife in the face. He was released after spending a week in jail. The charges against him have been dropped.
NOTE: An earlier version of this article claimed Ubukata would write a manga. However, his blog post does not actually specify what form his diary will take. Thanks to Kamieichi for pointing this out.
