Goo Ranking Picks Summer 2015's Best Anime Shows

The summer season has wrapped itself up and Fall 2015 is kicking off. The Goo Ranking website held a poll from September 10-24 to ask its readers what the best summer anime was this year. A total of 1,349 readers weighed in, although their selections were decidedly different from Charapedia's results held in June for the most anticipated program. Durarara!! ×2 The Second Arc topped that poll and was mirrored in ANN reader's own results. Midway through the season, Durarara!! was usurped by the zombie anime School-Live! in both Japanese and ANN reader polls.

Now that it's all said and done, MAPPA and Studio VOLN's supernatural action show Ushio & Tora has taken the lead. It's notable because Ushio & Tora isn't even over yet. The show is a two-cour anime with a third cour also greenlit after a one season break. Second place went to the raunchy comedy Prison School followed by the slice-of-life comedy Himouto! Umaruchan.
