Builder Spends 2 Years Making Lego Hyrule Castle
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
19-year-old Lego builder Joseph Zawada took two cars to BrickFair Virginia this month. It was the only way he could transport all 40 sections that make up his Hyrule Castle project.
The design is based on the castle as it appears in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game for the Wii. Zawada spent two and a half years and plenty of money building the project.
Alden Duquette, another participant at BrickFair Virginia showed off his large, 3D Link and Zelda figures. The piece is an ongoing work in progress. Duquette first created Link and the logo, and later added a light-up Navi and Princess Zelda. He's currently working on a Ganondorf figure to add to the group.
An official Legend of Zelda set was proposed to Lego last year, but they company passed over it. Fan creations have included Kaneda's bike, Pokemon, Hatsune Miku, and Strike Witches.
