Ayaka Hirahara, Yōko Hikasa Star in The Sound of Music 50th Anniversary Dub

Singer Ayaka Hirahara landed herself an iconic role as the character Maria in the new Japanese dub for The Sound of Music's 50th anniversary release. Hirahira dubs over Julie Andrews in the new Blu-ray and DVD release slated for May 2 while popular voice actress Yōko Hikasa stars as Liesl and actor Kanji Ishimaru stars as Captain von Trapp.
A stage greeting event with the dub actors will be held on April 26.
Hirahara is a singer probably best known to anime fans for her theme song performances for The Story of Saiunkoku. Hikasa is currently starring in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? as Freya, High School DxD BorN as Rias Gremory, and Sound! Euphonium as Aoi Saitō. She's performed theme songs for Trinity Seven, If Her Flag Breaks, High School DxD New, Attack on Titan and many more.
