This New Breast-Grabbing Oculus Rift Demo Is Quite the Handful

There are so many incredible things that the Occulus Rift could be used for. Exploring historical landmarks at the peak of their prime maybe, or exploring the inner workings of a human cell. Perhaps breathing life into old video game classics.

But while we've seen some nifty pop culture innovations, like letting Pacific Rim fans drift inside a Jaeger, or explore Totoro's bus stop, it seems that people are also using the Oculus Rift for, well, other things. Like comforting yourself on a woman's lap, touching and kissing Hatsune Miku, and other needs.

This newest demo falls into the latter category. Thanks to Niconico user RyutoSouma, those eager to grab a breast or two can strap on an Oculus Rift and go to town. (If the video player does not appear, please refresh the page.)

Combining an Oculus Rift, a pressure sensor, an Arduino control board, and life-size "ergonomic" "wrist-rest" mousepads, this set-up allows the user to reach out and fondle breasts. Only, the girl isn't too happy with it. She cries out, then covers herself with her arms, leading one to think that the grope isn't entirely welcome or expected.

For those wanting to get their hands on a demo (pun intended), Ryuto will be showing it off at OcuFes in Nagoya on September 14.
