Korean Pop Star BoA Gets To Dine With the Pope

Korean popstar Kwon Boa, more commonly known as BoA, has been in the entertainment business for almost 15 years, releasing albums in Korean, English, and Japanese, as well as songs in Mandarin. Her success in Japan has led her to the top of the charts, collaborating with groups like m-flo, Kumi Koda, Crystal Kay, and others, and performing one of the opening themes for the anime series Fairy Tail.
Even with all of her success on the stage and in the studio, BoA's about to receive what is possibly the experience of a lifetime—dining with the pope.
BoA and 20 other Asian representatives will be having lunch with Pope Francis on August 15 when he vists South Korea in August as part of Asian Youth Day. While BoA is acting as an honorary ambassador, other attendees include young leaders from 17 Asian countries.
