Nissin Cup Noodles joined the league of Japan's company supporters at the 2014 World Cup. The team might have lost Saturday's match against Côte d'Ivoire but Freestyle Football champion Kotaro Tokuda donned a suit armor in a Cup Noodles commercial to show that Japan still has a lot to offer in Brazil.
adidas, Pokémon, and idol group AKB48 have teamed up in merchandise and ad campaigns to root for the Japan soccer team. Pro-players also showed off their skills in a series of videos recreating moves from Captain Tsubasa.
Japan's next match will pit them against Greece on Thursday.
