Mikako Komatsu, Yumi Uchiyama Join Nisekoi Cast
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
This year's 34th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing two more members of the voice cast of the anime adaptation of Naoshi Komi's Nisekoi manga on Monday:
Mikako Komatsu (Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, K) will play Seishirō Tsugumi, a hitwoman raised by the Beehive Gangsters. She is a childhood friend of Chitoge, and is protective of her.
Yumi Uchiyama (Binbogami ga!, The Devil Is a Part-Timer!) will play Ruri Miyamoto (girl to the left in image), Kosaki's best friend. She is very supportive of her best friend in pushing her closer to Raku.
Other cast members include Kōki Uchiyama (Soul Eater, Shiki) as Raku Ichijō, Nao Tōyama (The World God Only Knows, The Devil Is a Part-Timer!) as Chitoge Kirisaki, and Kana Hanazawa (Kobato., Steins;Gate) as Kosaki Onodera. The manga's Vomic (voiced comic) version featured Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Raku, Haruka Tomatsu as Chitoge, and Hisako Kanemoto as Kosaki. Akiyuki Shinbo will direct the anime at animation studio Shaft.
Komi first made Nisekoi as a one-shot manga in Shueisha's seasonal Jump NEXT! magazine in 2011. Komi then launched the manga as a regular series in the main Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in November 2011. Viz Media's English version of Shonen Jump began serializing the manga last year.
