The extra downloadable content includes new costumes, weapons, episodes, and extra Colosseum enemies. The game will also come in a new original box and will include the six "Lost Report" videos that tell the story of the original Final Fantasy XIII game from the point of view of the characters Rygdea and Yaag Rosch.
The game will ship in Japan on July 18 for 5,040 yen (US$49.60). The "Ultimate Hits" budget edition of the game will also ship in Japan on July 18 for 2,940 yen (US$29).
Final Fantasy XIII-2 shipped in Japan in December 2011 and in North America in January 2012. Square Enix will release the third game in the series, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles this fall. The game will represent the final chapter in Lightning's story.
