2nd Tiger & Bunny Film's Kotetsu Design, 2014 Delay Revealed
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for Sunrise's superhero anime franchise Tiger & Bunny presented the character designs for Kotetsu T. Kaburagi in the second film, Gekijō-ban Tiger & Bunny -The Rising-, on Saturday. The first illustration (with a new wardrobe and hair style) is the original character design by Masakazu Katsura, and the second one is the finalized character design for animation.
The website also announced on Saturday that the second film has been delayed from this fall to February 8, 2014. The reason for the delay is the need to raise the quality of the work. Unlike the first film, the second film is an entirely new work.
The following cast and staff are returning:
- Hiroaki Hirata as Wild Tiger/Kotetsu T. Kaburagi
- Masakazu Morita as Barnaby Brooks, Jr.
- Planning/Created By: Sunrise
- Director: Yoshitomo Yonetani
- Screenplay/Story Director: Masafumi Nishida
- Character Design Concept/Hero Design: Masakazu Katsura
- Distribution: Shochiku, T-Joy
The first film, Gekijō-ban Tiger & Bunny -The Beginning-, opened in Japan last September, and people in Hong Kong and Taiwan were able to see the film that same month via live-viewing feeds in theaters. Theaters in Singapore, Thailand, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and France have also shown the film, and South Korea became the 10th global country or territory to receive the film in November.
