1st 12 Kingdoms Book in 12 Years to Ship in July

Japanese publisher Shinchosha announced a brand new collection of short stories for The Twelve Kingdoms fantasy novel series by Fuyumi Ono (Shiki, Ghost Hunt) on Monday. The volume, which is the first book released in The Twelve Kingdoms series in 12 years, will include two stories that were originally published in Shinchosha's yom yom magazine. These two stories are "Hisho no Tori" (The Bird of Hisho), which was published in the sixth issue in the March 2008, and "Rakusho no Goku" (The Prison of Rakusho), which was published in the eighth issue in October 2009. The volume will also include two brand-new stories by Ono.
Tokyopop licensed and released the first four volumes of the 11-book light novel series between 2007 and 2010. Media Blasters originally released the anime in North America in August 2003 with a complete collection release in 2009.
