Takanori Nishikawa, the singer better known as T.M. Revolution, posted a photograph of himself on Wednesday with the following caption:
Greetings, I am "Nori Pamyu Pamyu" ♡
That prompted the real model/singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu to respond, "You're too cute, you're making me green with envy (*'へ´*)"
Nishikawa held his annual "T.M.R. New Year Party '13 Live Revolution" concerts on January 1 and January 2 at Tokyo's Nippon Budōkan arena. As a special New Year's gift to the 20,000 attendees, he dressed up as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and pulled off the entire dance performance for her first single "Tsukema Tsukeru." He later said, "I never imagined, when I made my debut, that I would be doing this when I'm over 40. That's not bad at all. (laughs)"
The concerts screened video messages from other fellow performers, including Kishidan's Show Ayanocozey, Mai Endō of Idoling!!!, PASSPO's Makoto Okunaka and Shiori Mori, Golden Bomber, SCANDAL, AKB48's Minami Takahashi, TTRE's Reo Tsuchiya, L'Arc-en-Ciel's Tetsuya, Home Made Kazoku's Micro, and pro wrestler Keiji Muto. Last year, Nishikawa dressed as an AKB48 member and danced through the idol group's entire "Heavy Rotation" song.
Nishikawa sang theme songs for the anime titles Bleach the Movie: Hell Verse, Sengoku Basara Two, D.Gray-man, Darker than Black, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, Rurouni Kenshin, and Soul Eater. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu performed the new theme song for the Crayon Shin-chan television anime.
