Nayuta no Kiseki PSP Title's Gameplay Promo Streamed

posted on by Ko Ransom
13+ minute video previews various parts of "story action RPG" title

A promotional video previewing various gameplay features in Nayuta no Kiseki, Nihon Falcom's upcoming "story action RPG" title for the PlayStation Portable, was posted on Thursday. The nearly 14-minute-long video shows different facets of gameplay, from accepting quests and buying items in towns to action game-style play in different stages and boss fights. The video also compares the title directly to Falcom's Ys series of games, though it also stresses that there is more of a focus on action-style gameplay in Nayuta.

Nayuta no Kiseki is the latest addition to the Kiseki role-playing game series that has sold over 1.3 million copies. Falcom announced plans for the game last December. Kaori Mizuhashi, Ai Kayano, Kenichi Suzumura, and Ayana Taketatsu will be part of the game's cast. The four will also participate in an original drama CD that will come as part of the limited edition release of the game.

The Kiseki franchise inspired a promotional anime DVD bundled with a manga adaptation and a standalone Eiyū Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki (The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky) anime. Xseed Games is releasing the Eiyū Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki game trilogy under the title The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on the Sony PSP system in North America; the publisher shipped the first chapter in March.

Nayuta no Kiseki goes on sale in Japan on July 26 in a regular edition for 5,796 yen (about US$74) and a limited edition bundled with a drama CD, an "Acoustic Live DVD Collection," a soundtrack, and a rail pass case for 7,980 yen (about US$100).
