Capcom Reveals E.X. Troopers PS3, 3DS Game

The video game news site Famitsu reported on Thursday that CAPCOM is developing a new action shooting game for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 3 consoles titled E.X. Troopers. The action shooting game takes place in the same world as the Lost Planet video game franchise, but will take place in a school setting. Shintaro Kojima (Monster Hunter series) is producing the game.
The official website for the game reveals that May'n (Macross Frontier, Accel World) will be singing the game's theme song. The website also has introductory profiles and voice samples for the characters in the game, but does not yet list the game's voice cast. The game centers on Bren, a student who transfers from the EDN-2nd planet to an academy on the EDN-3rd planet.
CAPCOM also began streaming a promotional video for the game on Wednesday. The company plans to release the game this year. CAPCOM will hold a stage exhibit for the game during its "CAPCOM Summer Jam" event from June 30-July 1.
