Atlus U.S.A. to Release Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time PSP Game

The North American game publisher Atlus U.S.A. announced on Wednesday that it is releasing the Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time role-playing game for the PlayStation Portable in North America on July 24.

The game, originally titled Growlanser IV Over Reloaded in Japan, is Atlus' remake of the original Growlanser IV Over Reloaded game for the PlayStation 2 system that was released in 2003. Atlus released the PSP remake in Japan on August 18.

Atlus describes the game as follows:

Never before released outside of Japan (where it is known as Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded) and widely considered the best entry in the long-running franchise , this PSP system iteration of the fourth chapter in the Growlanser saga tells of a land -- once rich with culture and technology -- long ago nearly obliterated by evanescent divine entities. Two millennia later, the mysterious entities appear again, threatening to bring about an end to all things unless a fabled warrior of destiny can rise against them.

Atlus U.S.A noted in its press release that the anime cutscenes in the game will be fully voiced, but the game itself will not include either Japanese or English voice work.
