posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The Mobage mobile device gaming company will launch the K-ON! Miracle Session social simulation game for Japanese cell phones at the end of this month. The mobile contents company Butterfly and the TBS broadcasing network are collaborating to create the game in connection with the two K-ON! television anime and the upcoming film.
Players will raise one of the five female members of the Sakuragaoka High School Light Music Club. Characters' abilities will develop as users give them commands during music practice and other activities. Players will also be able to collect well-known scenes from the anime series within the game.
Basic gameplay will be free, while players will need to purchase each game item. Pre-registration for K-ON! Miracle Session opened on Wednesday, and players who do so will receive a special item in the game.
The K-ON! anime film will open in over 130 theaters in Japan on December 3.
