posted on by Jennifer Sherman
GungHo Online Entertainment announced on Monday that that it is collaborating with the makers of the Fate/Zero television anime on its online third-person shooter game, Toy Wars. The game is set in the room of a high school club dedicated to figures. Unbeknownst to the club members, their action figures wage secret battles after school when the humans are gone. The game is known as H.A.V.E. Online in the original Korean, and MicroVolts in English.
The characters Kiritsugu Emiya, Saber (battle and suit versions), and Irisviel will be available as costumes for players' avatars in the game on November 21. The collaboration will offer 19 costume items including characters' hair, weapons, and clothes. Players will pay 300 yen (about US$4) for one chance and 3,000 yen (about US$39) for eleven chances to receive a Fate/Zero item by lottery.
Earlier this year, Toy Wars offered Puella Magi Madoka Magica avatar costumes and more Strike Witches character avatars. The game also collaborated with makers of the anime film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya to make the characters Haruhi Suzumiya, Yuki Nagato and Mikuru Asahina available as costumes in the game last year.
