Haruhi Anime Collaborates with Online Toy Wars Game
posted on by Egan Loo
GungHo Online Entertainment announced last week that it is collaborating with the makers of the anime film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya on its upcoming online third-person shooter game, Toy Wars. The game is set in the room of a high school club dedicated to figures. Unbeknownst to the club members, their action figures wage secret battles after school when the humans are gone.
Thanks to the collaboration, the characters Haruhi Suzumiya, Yuki Nagato, and Mikuru Asahina are available as costumes for players' avatars in the game.
The game will launch in Japan next spring. The SGame website posted a 206-second promotional video, although the video predates the announcement of the Haruhi Suzumiya collaboration. The female figure with the yellow headband and heavy machine gun is not Haruhi, but an original game character named Narumi Ichigōki.
