True Tears Anime's 3rd Anniversary Marked With New Song
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The Japanese online retailer Getchu.com is currently taking pre-orders for a True Tears audio CD containing a new song from the group eufonius, who sang the opening theme song for the True Tears television anime series.
Bandai Visual's Lantis label is releasing the CD to commemorate the three-year anniversary of the series' premiere. Original character designer and chief animation director Kanami Sekiguchi will create a new illustration for the album's cover, which will feature the characters Noe, Hiromi, and aiko.
The 13-episode True Tears series aired from January to March 2008. P.A. Works' anime series was an adaptation of a romance adventure game of the same name. The game had been previously adapted into a live-action DVD project in 2006. Bandai Entertainment released the series on DVD in 2009.
Lantis will release the audio CD on February 8, and the CD is retailing for 1,200 yen (US$15.47) with tax.
Update: eufonius' spelling corrected. Thanks, Kit-Tsukasa.
