Dark Souls Game Holds Design-A-Shield Contest

The website for From Software's (Demon's Souls, Armored Core series) Dark Souls action role-playing game revealed on Saturday that it is holding a "Shield Design Contest" for the game.
The official website has a template for contestants to download and use. Once contestants have created their original design using the template, they can upload it to the official website in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format between June 20 and June 30. The winner of the contest will have his or her shield design featured in the game itself, which is slated for a release in Japan on September 15 on the PlayStation 3 console.
Namco Bandai Games will release the game in North America on October 4 and in Europe on October 7 on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
